Registrations Are Open For The Vii Conference On Health Law

The VII Conference on Health Law will be held on April 24th and 25th at the headquarters of the National Council of Justice (CNJ) in the city of Brasilia. In addition to discussions and voting on enunciations, the event will commemorate the 15th anniversary of the National Forum of the Judiciary for Health (Fonajus). Registrations can be made using the electronic form on the event page.

This year, 150 in-person places have been opened up for magistrates, especially coordinators and vice-coordinators of state and district health committees. Other professionals involved will be able to follow the event via the ONLINE broadcast on the YouTube channel of the CNJ.

During the programming, it is planned to analyze and vote on the new enunciations, which are guidelines that can support judicial decision-making in lawsuits on the right to health. The proposals will be sent by the state committees to the National Fonajus Committee by March 24th.

In addition, the participants must review the statements approved in other editions of the Conference. The aim is to align the guidelines with the recent decisions of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) on the subject, especially with regard to the Themes 6 and 1234, which deal with the supply of high-cost medicines.

Celebration

The 15th anniversary of the Fonajus will be celebrated during the opening ceremony of the VII Conference on Health Law. The Forum was created in 2010, by the Resolution No. 107 of the CNJ, to monitor and resolve health care claims, which since then have seen a growing increase in judicialization and the diversity of litigation.

To celebrate, the National Committee is to launch a national Fonajus booklet with data on these processes, based on the Health Judicialization Panel and the actions that are being implemented.
