New Members Of The Institutional And Academic Council Of Esmat Take Office For The 2025-2027 Biennium

Following on from the academic and institutional programming of its activities for the 2025-2027 biennium, the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) held the tenure ceremony of the new members of the Institutional and Academic Council on Thursday (March 6th). The ceremony brought together authorities from the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins and representatives of the academic community.

Took office:

• Justice Jacqueline Adorno de La Cruz Barbosa – President of the Institutional and Academic Council of Esmat;
• Justice Ângela Issa Haonat – First Deputy Director of Esmat;
• Judge Wellington Magalhães – Second Deputy Director of Esmat;
• Judge Roniclay Alves de Morais – Third Deputy Director of Esmat;
• Judge Allan Martins Ferreira – Council member;
• General director of the TJTO, Francisco Alves Cardoso Filho – Council Member.

During the ceremony, Justice Marco Villas Boas, general director of Esmat, pointed out that, throughout its more than two decades of operation, the School has always been active in the search for the improvement of magistrates and civil servers with LATO and STRICTO SENSU academic training and deepening. 

“Our tireless work in the search for partnerships with universities has allowed us to reach this level - where Esmat is today - of excellence in its teaching process and a benchmark for the other schools of the judiciary in Brazil,” he argued. 

Also on the occasion, Justice Maysa Vendramini Rosal, president of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO), was awarded the Esmat Medallion in recognition of her work in the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins. In her speech, the president of the TJTO emphasized the quality of the teaching system and actions developed by Esmat. “We are absolutely certain that the work will be carried out with excellence during this next biennium,” she said.

The Institutional and Academic Council plays a fundamental role in guiding and improving pedagogical guidelines of Esmat, contributing to the qualification of the training of magistrates and civil servers of the Judiciary.
