Programming Of The 1st Land Forum Of The State Of Tocantins Highlights Pratical Workshops Of Land Regularization

In addition to the lectures, the programming for the 1st Land Forum of the state of Tocantins included practical workshops on land regularization in municipalities across the state: Palmas, Araguaína, Gurupi, Dianópolis and Porto Nacional. Held on Monday afternoon (November 25th) in the auditorium of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO), the workshops aimed to offer practical and legal tools for applying the legislation in concrete cases.

The activity was moderated by Dr. Wellington Magalhães, law Judge and coordinator of the Center for Prevention and Land Regularization (Nupref), and featured presentations by representatives of the five municipalities addressed, who shared experiences and solutions related to land regularization.

Adriano Silva Pinto, head of the Cadastre Division of the city of Palmas, highlighted the challenges faced by the municipality in complying with the article 31 of the Law No. 13.465 of 2017. He presented the work carried out in the Vista Alegre and Belo Horizonte allotments, detailing the notifications to owners provided for in the rule and the solutions implemented by the Department of Land Affairs.

Representing the district of Araguaína, lawyer Vânia Sousa discussed the administrative process no. 03, from 2021, which deals with the regularization of the consolidated informal urban nucleus South Araguaína. She explained the steps taken to regularize public areas and properties in the region, highlighting the challenges of irregular occupations.

In the district of Gurupi, Eremilson Ferreira Leite, secretary for Human Development and Housing, presented the “Gurupi Title Deed” program, which benefited the Jardim da Luz sector with the delivery of 219 regularization titles. He highlighted the positive impact of the initiative on the municipality.

For his part, Thelio Pereira, executive secretary for Land Regularization in the district of Porto Nacional, shared the results obtained with the regularization of 13 neighborhoods, totaling 2,534 registered properties. The experience highlighted the importance of urban planning in the success of the process.

Closing the presentations, Josiane Soares Guimarães, president of the Land Regularization Commission of the district of Dianópolis, detailed the administrative process in the Vila Nova neighborhood. The “Regularize Dianópolis” program has already benefited around 1,200 families in four regularized centers.
