Registrations Are Open For The III Seminar On Socio-Environmental Management: Climate Change And The Enforcement Of Socio-Environmental Justice

The Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT) will promote the III Seminar on Socio-environmental Management, with the theme on "Climate Change and the Enforcement of Socio-environmental Justice", on June 22nd and 23rd, from 2pm on, at the auditorium of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins.

The Event will take place in both face-to-face and distance learning modalities, and it will have 1,300 available openings, 300 of which in person and 1,000 in the distance learning modality. The target public includes Judges and public servers from the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins, employees, outsourced workers, volunteers, and trainees from the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins, servers from the Sustainable TO Network (which is made up of the TJTO, MPE, TRE, TCE, DPE, UFT, ATS, Unitins, Embrapa, State Government of the State of Tocantins, Palmas City Hall, and Energisa), university students, and the community in general.

The Seminar is justified by the need to address climate change and its current impacts. The increase in global temperature has caused drinking water shortages, floods, rising sea levels, food insecurity, species extinction, and melting glaciers, affecting not only the environment, but also human life and other forms of life on the planet. In this context, the event seeks to promote training and awareness about climate change.
