General Director of Esmat participates in a live promoted by the National School of Magistracy

The National School of Magistracy of the Brazilian Magistrates Association (ENM/AMB) launched, on Tuesday morning (20th), a new digital platform with 100% online courses for judges, lawyers, public servers, students and the entire legal community. With 69 years of tradition, ENM enters the world of digital transformation in partnership with UOL EdTech and PUC-RS online to invest even more in the continuing training of magistrates.

The president director of the National School of Magistracy (ENM), Judge Caetano Levi Lopes, and the general director of the School of Judges of Tocantins (ESMAT), Judge Marco Villas Boas, participated in the event. The executive coordinator of the National School of Magistracy, Marcela Bocayuva; the economist, journalist, master in international finance and business director of UOL Edtech's higher education, Wilson Marchionatti, also participated in the virtual ceremony.

In his speech, Judge Caetano Levi stressed the importance of distance learning. "Today is an important day in our history, we are taking an immense leap, we began to serve our associates and the national legal community, with the offer of courses in the distance education modality, and this represents the de-mocratization of the notorious legal knowledge," he said.

The general director of Esmat reminded that Tocantins had an expertise in transmitting knowledge at a distance at a time when the modality was still observed with reservations. "We had the largest university in Brazil in the EaD modality which was the University of Tocantins (UNITINS), educating 24 thousand students in 19 states of the Federation. For reasons that should not be reported, this entire structure was dismantled, but it served to show that distance education is possible and can accomplish this mission for the life of society," he said.
