The importance of the integrity program regulation is highlighted in the governance forum of the justice system of TJTO and Esmat

Tatiana Camarão, Technical Advisor of the Presidency of the Court of Justice of the State of Minas Gerais (TJMG) and volunteer of the Governance Network Brazil (RGB), headed one of the panels of the IV Forum of Governance in the Justice System, this Thursday (June 9th), in the auditorium of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO).

She addressed the "Process of Implementation of the Integrity Program in TJMG". As she explained, it is a set of tools, policies and actions that aim to keep the institution in compliance with laws and ethics.

In the lecture, Tatiana told how the conception and development of the program came about. For example, three working groups were formed: risk management, code of conduct, and a whistleblower channel.

For her, there is a need in the country for the regulation of the proposal and that it be repeated in all courts. "Regulation is necessary. It is an advance in good governance practices. The logic required in the private sector should be adopted in the courts," she stressed. "Almost half of the organizations (47%) are still at an initial level of implementation of their programs and in the establishment of measures to address conflicts of interest, practices that reduce, in addition to risks, fraud and corruption," she added.

The coordinator of the table was the Chief of Justice of the State of Tocantins, Justice Etelvina Maria Sampaio Felipe.
