Reading of the "Letter From Teresina" closes the activities of the Liv Copedem

With the reading of the "Letter of Teresina", was closed on the afternoon of Tuesday (15th) the Meeting of the Permanent College of Directors of State Schools of Magistracy (COPEDEM). The document brings the main issues discussed during the event, which brought together the Directors of Schools of Magistracy from all over the country, and had as its main theme the impact of the new disruptive technologies in the Justice System.

The Letter of Teresina is the final document of the Meeting, which gathers the institutional points deliberated and unanimously approved by the members of the Permanent College of Directors of State Schools of Magistracy and guides the actions of the schools for the year 2023.

In delivering the reading, the president of COPEDEM and General Director of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins, Justice Marco Villas Boas, reaffirmed the importance of encouraging knowledge of the disruptive technologies. "The  mission of the School is to produce knowledge and innovations that help the Judicial System, investing in training and improvement, scientific research, and best practices in favor of a fairer and inclusive Judiciary," he said.

Justice Sebastião Ribeiro Martins, General Director of the Judiciary School of the State of Piauí (EJUD), considered that the Meeting fulfilled its mission to bring discussions about the new technologies and their impacts and contribute to the Judiciary to advance even more in this direction, becoming more accessible and transparent. "The themes debated during the LIV COPEDEM will be present in the planning of all judicial and magistrature schools for 2023, because they are of interest to magistrates and servers, besides being a necessity of the current world", he evaluated.

During the closing ceremony, the Directors of the Schools signed the Letter of Teresina. The LIV Meeting of the Permanent College of Directors of State Schools of Magistracy (COPEDEM) was a partnership between the School of the Judges of the State of Piauí (Esmepi) and the Judicial School of the State of Piauí (EJUD).
