
The first WEBCLASS of the course on Judicial Inspections in Programs for the Execution of Socio-Educational Measures in Open Spaces and Closed Space Units, and Completion of the National Registry of Inspection of Socio-educational Units and Programs (CNIUPS) was held on Tuesday afternoon (May 6th).
Developed by the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat), the training is coordinated by Judge José Eustáquio Melo Júnior and it will continue until June 13th.
With a workload of 45 class hours, the course aims to train professionals involved in the justice system to perform efficient and reasoned judicial inspections based on current legal regulations, ensuring the protection of the rights of adolescents in compliance with socio-educational measures, as well as the professionals who work in the execution of socio-educational measures, promoting a safe and conducive environment for the social reintegration of adolescents.
The first meeting was conducted by Professors Ilana Paiva, PhD in Social Psychology, from the Federal University of the state of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN/UFPB), and Jalusa Arruda, PhD in Social Sciences, from the Federal University of the state of Bahia (UFBA). During the class, topics such as Adolescence and Infraction, the Socio-Educational Cycle and Socio-Educational Measures in Open Space were discussed.
