The Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) is currently running a course on Update on Judicial Medical Expertise through the Virtual Learning Environment (AVA), in the self-instructional distance learning mode. The training began on April 14th and it continues until November 17th, with a workload of 30 hours.
Aimed at doctors seeking accreditation to serve on the Medical Board of the Judiciary, the course aims to promote technical and ethical performance in line with the legal and regulatory requirements of the area. The content covers fundamental aspects of expert practice, such as the structure of the JMED, professional responsibility, medical-legal concepts and the use of electronic systems such as eproc and SEEU.
The classes are led by Sérgio Rodrigo Stella, a psychiatrist and official expert for the TJTO, and they are organized autonomously, allowing each participant to progress at the pace that best suits their routine.
