Esmat Promotes Course On Judicial Inspections In Programs For The Execution Of Socio-Educational Measures

From May 5th to June 13th, the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) will hold the course on Judicial Inspections in Programs for the Execution of Socio-Educational Measures in Open and Closed Units, and Completion of the National Register of Inspections of Socio-Educational Units and Programs (CNIUPS), in distance learning mode, through the Virtual Learning Environment of Esmat (AVA).

There are 230 places on offer, to be filled according to the list of nominations drawn up by the Group for Monitoring and Inspection of the Prison System and the System for the Execution of Socio-Educational Measures (GMF). 

The 45-hour course, coordinated by Judge José Eustáquio Melo Júnior, aims to train professionals from the justice system and those who work in the execution of socio-educational measures to carry out efficient and well-founded judicial inspections, in accordance with legal standards, guaranteeing the protection of the rights of adolescents and promoting a safe environment for their social reintegration.

During the activities, participants will discuss topics such as adolescence and crime, socio-educational care in pre-trial detention, internment and semi-liberty units, and the importance of inspections for guaranteeing rights, as well as national and international regulations.
