Esmat Promotes Intensive Course On Analysis Of Exceptional And Special Appeals

On November 4th and 5th, the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) will hold the course on “Admissibility of Exceptional Appeals”, which will be taught by Marcelo Marchiori, a judicial analyst at the Superior Court of Justice (STJ). Marchiori holds a master's degree in law from the University of the city of Brasilia and he is the author of the book: The Role of the Judiciary in the Formation of Definitive Precedents, as well as acting as Chief Advisor to the Center of Management of Precedents and Collective Actions of the STJ.

The training course, requested by the General Internal Affairs of Justice of the State of Tocantins (CGJUS), will take 16 hours and it will be held in person at Esmat. The course is aimed at Judges and civil servers who already work or intend to work in the analysis of the admissibility of extraordinary and special appeals.

Registrations will be made by appointment, according to the target audience established, and they must be sent by CGJUS by means of a single document, via the Electronic Information System (SEI), using the protocol number 24.0.000018727-1. The aim of the course is to train participants to efficiently conduct the admissibility hearing of extraordinary and special appeals filed against 2nd instance court rulings.
