Registration open for the Judicial Recovery course in Distance Learning modality

Registrations for the Judicial Recovery course are open and follow until July 17th. The course will be offered in the distance learning modality, via the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), and takes place from August 5th to October 13th. The objective is to provide magistrates with the appropriation of the logical, legal and economic foundations of the legal systems of judicial recovery and bankruptcy.

40 vacancies are being offered, of which 30 to magistrates from Tocantins and 10 to magistrates from other states. With a 78 hours duration and divided into nine modules, the course will be taught by Professor Daniel Carnio Costa, Judge of the 1st Bankruptcy and Judicial Reorganizations Court of São Paulo.

The Esmat Virtual Learning Environment will enable interactivity between students and teachers, throughout the course, through forums and chats, as well as access to video classes, didactic material, links and other tools that will assist in the teaching-learning process.

 

About Professors:

Daniel Carnio Costa is a Master in Comparative Law from Samford University (EUA) and a PhD from PUC / SP. Post-Doctorate from the University of Paris 1 – Pantheon / Sorbonne (without a thesis). Professor at the Commercial Law Department at PUC / SP. Founding President of the National Forum of Business Competence Judges (FONAJEM). Member of São Paulo Law Academy. Member of Magistrates Paulista Academy. Author of several books and articles published in Brazil and abroad.

Roniclay Alves de Morais is a Master in Jurisdictional Provision and Human Rights from the Federal University of Tocantins. He holds a Lato Sensu postgraduate degree in Criminal Sciences from the University of the South of Santa Catarina and in the Rule of Law and Combat against Corruption by ESMAT, head judge of the 1st Public Finance Court of Palmas District. He served as Secretary of Human Rights and Citizenship of the Brazilian Magistrates Association (AMB). Professor at the School of Judges of Tocantins (ESMAT). Member of the Editorial Board of Esmat. He is currently the Coordinator of the Support Center for the Counties of the Justice Court of Tocantins (NACOM).
