Visits To Units Of The Forum Of The City Of Palmas Mark The End Of The Fourth Week To Combat Harassment

The IV Week to Combat Harassment and Discrimination in the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins ended on Friday (May 9th) with visits by the Commissions for Preventing and Combating Moral Harassment, Sexual Harassment and Discrimination of the 1st and 2nd degrees to units in the Forum of the city of Palmas.

The main objective of the action was to strengthen dialogue with judges, civil servers, trainees and employees, promoting active listening about the work environment and reinforcing the institutional channels for reception and guidance.

The visits took place at the Electronic Processing Center of the Special Courts, the Criminal Court and the Civil Court. During the talks, they presented the role of the commissions, their attributions and the importance of strengthening an ethical and safe institutional environment, free from discriminatory practices. The team also clarified doubts, listened to suggestions and publicized the channels available for complaints and protests.

For the president of the Commission for Preventing and Confronting Moral and Sexual Harassment and Discrimination in the 2nd Level (Cassegio2G), Justice Angela Haonat, the end of the week reinforces the institutional commitment to listening, prevention and a culture of respect.

“We end this edition with the certainty that we have made progress in dialog, guidance and trust between the Commission and the civil servers. The feedback we received in the units we visited only confirms the importance of being close, accessible and open to the listening. This closeness is fundamental to consolidate healthier and more humane working environments,” she said.

Also taking part in the visits were the president of the Commission for Preventing and Confronting Moral and Sexual Harassment and Discrimination in the 1st Level (Cassedio1G), Judge Flávia Afini Bovo; and civil servers Daniella Lima Negry and Maria Clara Rezende Duarte Queiroz, members of the Cassedio2G Commission.

The action of this year also included face-to-face discussions in the courts of Araguaína and Gurupi, as well as a cine debate on the documentary: “A dor (in)visível (The in(visible) pain)” and the opening lecture with Justice Tânia Regina Reckziegel, a national reference in the fight against harassment in the institutional environment.

The Week to Combat Harassment and Discrimination is a national initiative instituted by the Resolution 351/2020 of the CNJ, which establishes the Policy to Prevent and Combat Moral Harassment, Sexual Harassment and Discrimination within the Judiciary.
