Dignity through access to basic documentation. This is the purpose of the 3rd edition of the National Civil Registration Week – Register Yourself!, which will be held from May 12th to 16th in all states of the country and in the Federal District.
In the city of Palmas, the events will take place exclusively at the Centers for Social Assistance Reference (Cras), located in strategic regions of the capital with the highest concentration of people in vulnerable situations.
The action is aimed especially at people living on the streets, in compliance with security measures, people deprived of their liberty and those released from the prison system, without prejudice to other vulnerable groups.
Created by the Provision No. 140 of the National Court of Justice in 2023, the “Register Yourself!” project aims to combat the under-registration of births and facilitate access to birth certificates, ID cards, CPFs and CadÚnico (CadUnique) updates, among other essential documents. Since its first edition, more than 400,000 people have been assisted throughout Brazil.
