On May 18th, the National School for the Training and Improvement of Magistrates (Enfam) will hold the third edition of the National Judicial Exam (Enam). The exam, which is compulsory for those wishing to enter the magistracy, will be administered simultaneously in all the capitals of the country.
In this edition, 562 candidates from the state of Tocantins are among the 4,438 registered in the northern region. In all, 42,905 people registered for the exam, 7,633 of whom are self-declared black, 1,971 people with disabilities and 97 indigenous people.
Enam is a prerequisite for taking part in judicial exams promoted by federal, state, labor, military and Federal District courts. The assessment is made up of 80 objective questions, covering the areas of Constitutional, Administrative, Civil, Civil Procedural, Criminal, Business, Human Rights Law, as well as Humanistic Training and General Notions of Law.
To pass, you need to get at least 70% of the marks right in the broad competition or 50% for black, indigenous or disabled candidates. The two previous editions of Enam, held in 2024, qualified more than 12,000 candidates, including 3,460 black candidates, 1,145 people with disabilities and 22 indigenous people.
Guidelines for the candidates
To take the exam, you must show an official document with photo and a blue or black ballpoint pen made of transparent material. Proof of registration and payment can also be taken.
It is forbidden to use or carry unauthorized electronics, accessories or materials, such as cell phones, watches, headphones, loose papers, books or codes. Failure to comply may result in the candidate being eliminated.
