Judiciary Of The State Of Tocantins Participates In The 2025 Planet Hour And Reinforces Commitment To Sustainability

Once again, the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins is joining the global Planet Hour movement, promoted by WWF, which will take place this Saturday (March 22nd), from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.. The action aims to draw attention to the urgency of combating climate change and the importance of sustainable attitudes in everyday life.

This year, the motto adopted by the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins is “Turn off the light and turn on your conscience.”

The initiative invites judges, civil servers, employees and society to reflect on the conscious use of energy and care for natural resources. As a symbolic gesture, the lights at the Court, the Courts and other judicial units throughout the State will be turned off for one hour.

In addition, an internal recommendation has been issued so that, at the end of working hours this Friday, March 21st, staff turn off their computer no breaks, helping to reduce electricity consumption and reinforcing the institutional commitment to environmental preservation.

More than just turning off the lights, the Planet Hour represents a movement to raise awareness. Simple attitudes, such as reducing the use of electronic equipment, avoiding waste and adopting sustainable practices in everyday life, make a difference in building a more balanced future.

What is the planet hour?

Created in 2007 by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the campaign began in Sydney, Australia, and today mobilizes millions of people in more than 180 countries. Turning off the lights for an hour is a symbolic gesture that invites society to rethink its habits and its role in preserving the planet for future generations.

Take part in this global movement! Join the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins and millions of people around the world. Turn off the lights, turn on your conscience and make a difference.
