More than 30,000 law graduates attended ENAM

The first edition of the National Judicial Exam (ENAM) took place this Sunday, April 14th, in all Brazilian capitals. Across the country, 39,859 people registered; of these, 32,168 were present. The number of abstentions was 7,686, or around 23%. The northern region had 3,367 people registered, 442 of them in the State of Tocantins. In the State, 329 people were present to take the exam.

Organized by the National School for the Training and Improvement of Magistrates (Enfam), the exam is an unprecedented test that will enable people interested in taking part in public competitions to select new Judges.

Of the total number of people registered for the exam, 8,017 are black, 1,328 are disabled and 49 are indigenous. São Paulo is the State with the highest number of people registered for the ENAM, with over 7,000 candidates. In second place is Rio de Janeiro, with around 4,500, followed by the Federal District, with over 3,000.

The test was instituted by the Resolution of the National Council of Justice (CNJ) No. 531, of November 14th, 2023, and it is eliminatory and non-ranking. In all, there are 80 multiple choice questions on the following subjects: Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, General Notions of Law and Humanistic Training, Human Rights, Civil Procedural Law, Civil Law, Business Law and Criminal Law. Anyone who gets 70% of the test right will be considered qualified; for self-declared black, indigenous or disabled people, the minimum percentage of correct answers is 50%.

Results - The official results will be published on Tuesday, April 16th, on the website of FGV Contents, the organizing body. The deadline for filing appeals will be from April 17th to 19th.
