General Director of Esmat participates in the 1st Meeting of the “National Forum of Masters, Doctors and Post-Doctors of the Brazilian Judiciary

Com a proposta de apresentar as iniciativas docentes da presente gestão, discutindo mecanismos de fortalecimento de gestão educacional e demais atividades acadêmicas, a Escola Nacional de Formação e Aperfeiçoamento de Magistrados (ENFAM) realizou, nesta segunda-feira (1º), a 1ª Reunião do Fórum Nacional de Mestres, Doutores e Pós-Doutores da Magistratura Brasileira. Representando o Tocantins, o diretor geral da Escola Superior da Magistratura Tocantinense, desembargador Marco Villas Boas, participou do evento promovido em plataforma digital, tendo em vista as restrições devido à pandemia global.

With the proposal to present the teaching initiatives of the present administration, discussing mechanisms for strengthening educational management and other academic activities, the National School for Training and Improvement of Magistrates (ENFAM) held, this Monday (1st), the 1st Meeting of the National Forum of Masters, Doctors and Post-Doctors of the Brazilian Judiciary. Representing Tocantins, the general director of the School of Judges of Tocantins, judge Marco Villas Boas, participated in the event promoted on a digital platform, in view of the restrictions due to the global pandemic.

Chaired by the general directo rof Enfam, Minister Antonio Herman Benjamin, the meeting wai aimed at collecting suggestions and improvement subsidies, especially in relation to courses, webnars and National Forum organization.

Another issue raised by the meeting’s agenda was the Enfam Academic Magazine circulation. According to the document sent by Minister Antonio Benjamin, “Everything under the premise that the School’s activities must be totally directed to the attendance of needs and to the nearly twenty thousand magistrates valuation: a school of magistrates for magistrates”, he has emphasized.

For the general director of Esmat, judge Marco Villas Boas, the opportunity of the meeting served for the other participants to receive news of the efforts made by the School of Judges of Tocantins to continue courses in the distance modality, as well as in the Stricto Sensu PostGraduate Program developed by Esmat, which is already in its eighth class.

We are not measuring efforts to guarantee the promotion and access to knowledge. We are aware that this is an atypical moment, but we have managed to adapt in a timely manner só that our academics are not harmed. This is a time to adapt to a new reality that is being presented to us”, he has pointed out. The judge also pointed out that for more than 10 years, Esmat has already used the EaD system of knowledge transmission. “We are familiar with the use of the platform, from training courses and broad and stricto sensu postgraduate courses, as well as in large participation events such as seminars and congresses”, he said.
