The book Drug Law: Commented according to the Anticrime Package (Law No. 13,964 of 2019), written by Justice Rogério Schietti Cruz together with Associate Justice Fernando Bravin Ruy and Judge Sérgio Ricardo de Souza, is currently on pre-sale and will be available for shipment by Thoth Editor as of August 14th, 2021.
With 364 pages, the book brings comments related to the entry of Law No. 13,964 of 2019 (Anticrime Package), which instituted the anti-crime pact in Brazil, with a small reform in criminal and criminal procedural legislation.
The authors, with solid academic careers and wide experience, respectively, in the Superior Court of Justice, in the 2nd and 1st Level of Jurisdiction, have brought to life this work that has filled an unacceptable gap in the criminal sciences in Brazil.
This work, updated until June 2021, addresses, in a scientific and accurate way, a critical view of the Drug Law No. 11.343 of 2006, with relevant legislative changes of criminal and procedural nature that came to light after its edition, even those resulting from the so-called Anticrime Package (Law No. 13. 964, of 2019), which introduced profound changes in our criminal and procedural system, including the Non-Prosecution Agreement (ANPP), inserted in the Code of Criminal Procedure through the novel art. 28-A, applicable also to some hypotheses provided for in the Drug Law.
The text was developed in technical language, but is easy to understand and is illustrated with elaborate and updated jurisprudence from the most varied courts, facilitating the understanding of professionals and law students.
