Esmat Magazine receives a framework in Qualis Capes B5 Stratum
One more conquest for the School of Judges of Tocantins, Esmat Magazine received a framework in Qualis B5 stratum. The rating is used to evaluate the scientific production of the post graduation programs, and the Qualis system contributes to assess the articles and scientific magazines quality. According to Graziele Coelho, Magazine executive editor, “already having in mind a future evaluation, since 2012 we have worked to include Esmat Magazine in the international scientific standard, adopted by the best brazilian magazines with the goal of raising our Qualis stratum. Many changes were performed in this period. We could adjust the editorial process to reach authors exogeny; editorial council and refeeres staff exogeny; scientific editor; national and international indexation basis; biannual publication (minimum for stratum increase), among others. With no doubt that is an important advance”, emphasised the editor. The Magazine, linked since 2016 to the Master Program in Judicial Assistance and Human Rights, also goes through another important step, which is, an indexation final phase in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) base data, an important international source that will contribute a lot to the periodic visibility. The Magazine objectives to be a motivating instrument for the knowledgement diffusion produced by magistrates, students, professors, servers, lawyers, Service Prosection members e other judicial community members, in other words, a vehicle to the continuos discussions about Law improvement, in a way to stimulate the academic and scientific debate. The biannual publication receives unprecedented scientific contributions, linked to the Law concentration area, being guided by a critical vision about the theme, both in the national and international context.
