The National School for Training and Improvement of Magistrates (ENFAM) in partnership with the National Council of Justice (CNJ) announced the opening of registrations for the second edition of the specialization course on Contemporary Criminal Jurisdiction and Prison System. There are 40 vacancies and a planned class load of 390 hours in a remote format, starting in August 2023. Magistrates from all over Brazil can register until June 10th.
The course content was formatted by the technical team of the Making Justice program, run by the CNJ in partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and important support of the National Secretariat of Penal Policies (Senappen) to overcome structural challenges in the field of deprivation of liberty. The modules are based on the series of knowledge products launched by the program, especially in the area of Penal Proportionality and on themes such as Penal Alternatives, Restorative Justice, Electronic Monitoring and Prison Policy, including the unprecedented methodology of the Vacancy Regulation Center.
