With a focus on integration and institutional strengthening, the second day of the Green Agenda Week, held on Tuesday (August 19th), at the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat), in the city of Palmas, attended the Inter-institutional Workshop on Integration and Sharing of Socio-Environmental Information, bringing together representatives from agencies and the community.

The initiative is part of the national mobilization carried out by the National Council of Justice (CNJ) to encourage conciliation and speed up the judgment of environmental cases. In the state of Tocantins, the programming is coordinated by the Judicial Center for Conflict Resolution and Environmental and Land Citizenship (Cejuscaf), under the leadership of Judge Wellington Magalhães.

“This workshop aims to integrate knowledge, so that we can familiarize ourselves with the systems and maybe even think about integration, interoperability among all environmental systems currently available in Brazil", said Wellington Magalhães, judge coordinator of Cejuscaf.

The magistrate added the relevance of the initiative in the face of environmental challenges: "In times of climate change and various environmental problems, it is important that the Judiciary is also involved in environmental protection policy. This involves the mediation, conciliation and integration of various systems currently available, capable of assisting environmental management and supporting the resolution of socio-environmental conflicts”.

Workshops

GEO TOCANTINS AND ECOLOGICAL-ECONOMIC ZONING (ZEE)

The first workshop was conducted by the Secretariat of Planning and Budget (Seplan), with a presentation by director Rodrigo Sabino. The highlight was the GeoPortal, a digital platform that gathers, organizes and provides information on territory, environment, infrastructure and socioeconomic data of the state of Tocantins.

“We present a digital platform for sharing information about the State, which meets all national standards of access to information and cartographic legislation. It provides, in an interactive way, data ranging from political and administrative issues to historical series of agricultural and socioeconomic production", explained Rodrigo.

CentER OF Geographic Intelligence in environmental management (CIGMA)

In the following, Marcello Lélis, secretary of Environment and Water Resources, presented Cigma, a tool that centralizes information on licensing, monitoring and environmental supervision.

"Cigma is a system that not only organizes environmental information, but it also gives transparency to the licensing and monitoring processes. It guarantees more agility to the entrepreneur and more security to society", said Lélis.

The coordinator Marcos Giongo added, highlighting the collective character of the tool: "Cigma is a collective construction. Our goal is to generate data and information from an intelligence service, cross-referencing information and providing support for management decisions and public policy formulation.”

INTEGRATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL AND GEOGRAPHICAL DATA

Environmental Information Data (BDIA), IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics) Automatic Recovery System (Sidra) and Interactive Geographic Platform.

"Sidra is my favorite. It brings together almost all the research of IBGE, allowing creating tables, graphs and cartograms quickly, within the official tabulation standards." And he added that they are all powerful tools for planning and management.

The programming of the day included nine workshops - four in the morning and five in the afternoon, bringing together strategic agencies such as the State Prosecution of Tocantins (Caoma), Naturatins (Nature Institute of the state of Tocantins), Ibama (Brazilian Institute for the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources), Incra (National Institute of Colonization and Agrarian Reform) and Anoreg (Association of Notaries and Registrars of Brazil).
