Esmat Hosts Inter-Institutional Workshop On Integration Of Socio-Environmental Information This Tuesday (August 19th)

As part of the programming of the Green Agenda Week, the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins promotes, on Tuesday (August 19th), the Inter-institutional Workshop on Integration and Sharing of Socio-environmental Information, with performance in the auditorium of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat).

The activity will be face-to-face, with the opening scheduled for 8:15 am, and it is aimed at magistrates, civil servers, public managers, civil society representatives, members of impacted communities, academics, researchers and students.

Coordinated by Judge Wellington Magalhães, the workshop aims to promote the strategic use of socio-environmental information systems through the exchange of experiences between institutions, contributing to the strengthening of sustainable and integrated public policies in the State.

The training is part of the calendar of the Green Agenda Week, promoted by the National Council of Justice (CNJ), from August 18th to 22nd, with actions aligned to the National Goal 6, which encourages conciliation and faster judgment of environmental processes, reinforcing the commitment of the Judiciary to sustainability and social pacification.

About the green agenda week 

The national mobilization is coordinated in the state of Tocantins by the Judicial Center for Conflict Resolution and Environmental and Land Citizenship (Cejuscaf), also under the leadership of Judge Wellington Magalhães. The schedule includes:

  • August 18th – Cristalândia: Launch of the documentary on the structural sentence of the Formoso River Basin and environmental mediation hearings.
  • August 19th – Palmas (Esmat): Interinstitutional workshop on integration of socio-environmental information.
  • August 20th – Peixe: Public hearing on the APA (area of environmental protection) Management Plan of the district of Santa Tereza.
  • August 21st – Araguaína: Public hearing for the signing of an agreement on the Management Plan of the Nascentes APA (area of environmental protection).
  • August 22nd – Guaraí and Gurupi: Environmental conciliation hearings.
