To stimulate listening, dialogue and the construction of more inclusive environments, the Regional Electoral Court of the state of Tocantins (TRE-TO) promotes on Thursday, July 24th, the round of conversation: "Women: Discrimination by Gender and Color - Voices that inspire change". The activity will be held at 3pm, in the auditorium of the TRE-TO in the city of Palmas.
The initiative is from the Commission for the Prevention and Tackling of Moral Harassment, Sexual Harassment and Discrimination, chaired by Judge Silvana Maria Parfieniuk, regional election ombudsman, with institutional support from the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO) and the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) through the Stricto Sensu Post-Graduation Program in Judicial Provision and Human Rights (PPGPJDH).
With the mediation of Justice Ângela Issa Haonat, the meeting seeks to reflect on the multiple forms of discrimination faced by women, especially black and indigenous, and their effects on daily life and labor relations.
Professor Bleine Queiroz Caúla (Unifor), Professor and activist Maria Santana Milhomem (UFT) and Journalist Maju Cotrim participate as debaters. The proposal is to create a safe space for exchange of experiences, critical analysis and formulation of tackling strategies and female empowerment.
