State Of Tocantins Opens Vi National Meeting On Intelligence In The Judiciary This Wednesday (March 26th)

The state of Tocantins will be at the center of debates on strengthening security and intelligence practices within the Brazilian Judiciary. On Wednesday and Thursday (March 26th and 27th), the VI National Meeting on Intelligence in the Judiciary will take place in the auditorium of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO), with the participation of magistrates and civil servers from the justice system from all over Brazil, as well as professionals, authorities and specialists in the legal, intelligence and institutional security fields.

The opening ceremony will be held on Wednesday (March 26th) at 9:30 am. The opening panel, with the theme on “Integrated and Interoperative Intelligence in the Context of the National Security Policy and System of the Judiciary”, will be led by speaker Fábio de Carvalho Rodrigues Paraguassu, head of the Security Division of the National Council of Justice.

The programming runs until Thursday (March 27th) and it includes twelve lectures of interest to professionals working in the areas of Intelligence and Institutional Security and to the local intelligence community. The aim is to improve the execution of institutional security and intelligence activities within the Brazilian Judiciary.

For Justice Maysa Vendramini Rosal, president of the TJTO, the meeting is fundamental for improving institutional security. 

“Considering the current context, characterized by technological advances and the increasingly elaborate activities of criminal groups, the sharing of new technologies among state agents becomes crucial for the exercise of the judiciary,” she said.

O encontro é promovido pelo Tribunal de Justiça do Estado do Tocantins, por meio do Núcleo de Inteligência e Segurança Institucional (NIS), que é coordenado pela desembargadora Jacqueline Adorno, em parceria com a Escola Superior da Magistratura Tocantinense (Esmat).

The meeting is being promoted by the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins, through the Center for Intelligence and Institutional Security (NIS), which is coordinated by Justice Jacqueline Adorno, in partnership with the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat).

In line with the National Security Policy of the Judiciary, regulated by the Resolution No. 435 of the National Council of Justice (CNJ), of 2021, the event is coordinated by Justice Pedro Nelson de Miranda Coutinho, the chief of Justiça of the State.

"Here, we will join forces to share knowledge and strengthen the intelligence of the Judiciary, ensuring more efficiency and security in our institutions,” he said, citing that participants will strengthen the ‘integration of the judicial intelligence community’ to build partnerships and innovative solutions.”
