With the aim of raising awareness and providing guidance on the importance of land governance and contributing to the process of Urban Land Regularization (Reurb), the Center for Prevention and Land Regularization of the General Internal Affairs of Justice of the State (Nupref/CGJUS) presented the booklet Security and Dignity: a guide to prevent irregular occupations and an institutional video with the step-by-step process of Reurb during the 1st State Land Forum of Tocantins, held on Monday (November 25th).
The informative guide provides a detailed overview of Reurb, highlighting the importance of preventing irregular occupation of urban areas and the benefits brought by land regularization. The explanatory material contains 16 pages and it has been divided into 7 chapters to make it easier to understand the policies on the subject, which promote legal certainty, urban planning and improved quality of life for residents.
In addition, the guide emphasizes the advances made by the Law No. 13.465/2017, which simplified regularization processes in the country, and details the role of Nupref in preventive and resolutive actions to avoid new irregular occupations.
Benefits
The guide and video point out that land regularization brings significant benefits for everyone involved. For municipalities, it promotes territorial planning, reduces costs with corrective actions and encourages sustainable urban development. For residents, it offers legal certainty, property appreciation and guaranteed access to essential services.
With these actions, the General Internal Affairs of Justice reinforces its commitment to transform lives through inclusive and efficient public policies, promoting the right to decent housing and strengthening citizenship in all regions of the state of Tocantins.
“The adoption of land regularization is an unavoidable commitment of all public managers. It is our duty to guarantee the regularization of existing informal urban centers, promoting dignity and legal security for residents; just as it is equally essential to act preventively and effectively to avoid new invasions,” said Coordinating Judge of Nupref, Wellington Magalhães.
“And in all these senses, the program developed by the General Internal Affairs of Justice only becomes possible when it is a work built by many hands,” he added, highlighting the importance of partnerships in the work of Reurb.
