Registrations for the II Seminar on the Elderly in the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins has been extended until October 8th, the date on which the event will be held, offering yet another opportunity for all those interested to take part.
The seminar, organized by the General Internal Affairs of Justice of the State of Tocantins (CGJUS), will take place next Tuesday afternoon, from 1pm to 6pm, in the auditorium of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO), in the city of Palmas.
With a diversified program, the seminar aims to discuss the role of the judiciary in building dignified ageing, as a space for exchanging experiences and debates on health, rights and protection of the elderly.
Among the highlights of the programming are a lecture by Dr. Monize da Silva Freitas Marques, who will discuss aging from a legal and social perspective, and the participation of students from the University of Maturity (UMA/UFT) with a cultural presentation.
In addition, round tables with representatives from the State Department of Health, the State Department of Labor and Social Development, the Public Defender's Office, the State Prosecution and other important bodies will explore the challenges and advances in protecting and defending the rights of the elderly.
The event is free and open to the whole community, reinforcing the importance of including all ages in this debate.
