The Impact Of Artificial Intelligence On The Judicial System Is Debated On The Third Day Of The International Seminar In New York (Usa)

The third day of the International Seminar on "Contemporary Perspectives on Artificial Intelligence in the Judicial System, in Law and in Business", which runs until August 9th in New York (USA), debated on Thursday (8th) the impact of AI on the judicial system through predictive analysis and the path to a greater access to justice, the provision of judicial services, trends and the future of innovation.

The event was organized by the Permanent College of Directors of State Schools of the Magistracy (Copedem) in partnership with the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) and Memory – Center of Judicial Memory.

The activities were opened with a welcome from Milton Burgese, Vice President of the Public Sector in Latin America at Google Cloud, and Justice Marco Villas Boas, President of Copedem and General director of Esmat. Both highlighted the importance of the seminar as a space for exchanging knowledge and innovation, which is crucial for the future of the judicial system.

Artificial Intelligence: Trends and the Future of Innovation

Patrícia Florissi, technical director of the Office of the CTO at Google Cloud, kicked off the talks with a discussion on emerging trends in AI and the future of technological innovation.

The Impact of AI on the Judicial System: Predictive Analytics and the Path to Expanded Access to Justice

Alfredo Deak, Chief Solutions Officer at Xertica, presented an analysis of how AI can transform the judicial system, especially through predictive analytics, and promote wider access to justice.

Impact of AI on the Provision of Judicial Services

Moderated by Ademir Piccoli, CEO of J.Ex, the panel brought together Alfredo Deak, Patrícia Florissi and Dr. Rafael Leite, CIO of the CNJ, to discuss the practical impact of AI on the provision of judicial services. The speakers shared valuable information about the integration of AI into the judicial system and the challenges faced during its implementation.
