"Balance Begins Within Us", Says Rossandro Klinjey, During The Opening Of The Ix Week Of Health Of The Judiciary Of The State Of Tocantins

"In the midst of the balance among family, work, father, mother, children, husbands, partners, (...) there is a being that needs to be seen," said Psychologist Rossandro Klinjey, speaking about the importance of self-love for balance in life, during a lecture on "Health First: Balancing Work and Personal Life". The event opened the IX Health Week of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins, on Tuesday afternoon (August 6th), in the auditorium of the TJTO, with the presence of magistrates and civil servers.

"May we be wise enough to listen to our own advice. To look, listen and have our feelings validated," said the speaker, pointing out that you can only be available to someone when you are available to yourself.

The biggest imbalance lies in wanting to hand over to others what you haven't yet handed over to yourself.

For the Psychologist, what would help a person to feel balanced is to remove the word "guilt" from their way of looking at life, or from the nomenclature of their emotions. He explains that no one is capable of doing everything the same way, without ever making mistakes. "Guilt will generate an imbalance or your mistaken view of love," he said.

"Scratch the word guilt and take responsibility," said the speaker, who is a human development consultant. "When the fault is ours, it feels like we owe the world. And when we have responsibilities, we are directing our lives," he explained, pointing out that when it comes to the symptoms of anguish, anxiety, depression and fear, we don't have guilt, but responsibilities. "These symptoms invite me to see a place within myself that I'm refusing. In reality, the physical and emotional symptoms are a call from the body, or the soul, or the angles, for you to look at yourself. Often we only stop at the limit, at exhaustion," he said, talking about the responsibility of everyone for their own personal life. That's why he stressed that living a balanced life means making choices.

Health and quality of life of civil servers: the most precious asset

The IX Health Week of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins began with the aim of providing reflections on health, with a view to the prevention of illness and to maximize the quality of life of employees.

Recognizing that health is an indispensable asset for magistrates and civil servers to fully carry out their professional and personal activities, the President of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins, Justice Etelvina Maria Sampaio Felipe, present at the opening of the week, mentioned that the demands of work affect quality of life and stressed that the TJTO has worked to give civil servers and magistrates this quality of life. "It's not easy. To this end, we are promoting several actions that reinforce the physical and mental health of all of us. We need to take care of the most precious asset we have," she said, referring to each person who works in the Judiciary.

The President recalled that, in this 2023-2025 administration, improving people management was chosen as a macro-challenge, within the perspective of learning and growth. "We have also made it a priority to implement the humanization and appreciation program for civil servers, Judges and magistrates," she said. "This initiative aims to promote well-being, motivation, productivity, empathy, compassion and humanization, the exercise of the function that each of you performs."

The Chief Justice, Judge Maysa Vendramini Rosal, congratulated Justice Etelvina Maria Sampaio for the special attention she has given to civil servers, Judges, trainees and collaborators with regard to health, thereby creating a healthier and more productive working environment, as well as valuing the quality of life of the professionals who work in the Judiciary.

Health in the first place

Márcia Mesquita, the Director of People Management of the TJTO, said that the theme of the week: "Health first" had been carefully chosen to reflect on the constant concern of the TJTO with promoting the quality of life of members of the Judiciary. At the time, she presented data on the health of civil servers and reported that the Health Space recorded, in the Health Census of 2023, an increase in demand for psychiatric care, as well as care services related to mental health, a scenario that endorsed the search for initiatives to expand actions aimed at preventing and managing work-related and non-work-related illnesses.

She mentioned, for example, the annual influenza vaccination campaign, workplace exercises, and ergonomic guidance, among others. New projects are also being implemented, such as the mapping of workers with chronic non-communicable diseases, such as hypertension, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases, among others.

The head of the Health Space, cardiologist Elaine Cristina Ferreira, would like to thank the team at the Health Center for the excellence of their actions, for their commitment to the programs and projects, and for all the warmth and humanization of the care provided.
