Empirical Research: Seminar Presents The Use Of The Tpus In The Management Of National Goals

This Thursday (June 27th), at 5pm, the National Council of Justice (CNJ) is holding another seminar in the series How to Conduct Empirical Research Applied to Judicial Policies, this time on the topic of The Use of Unified Procedural Tables (TPUs) in the Management of National Goals and in the Definition of Case Timing. Those interested in taking part should fill in the registration form. The event will be broadcast live on the YouTube channel of the CNJ.

Promoted by the Department of Judicial Research (DPJ), the initiative aims to explain the fundamentals of empirical studies, how to produce data and analyze it, among other relevant stages in the process of building empirical research applied to law. The training is aimed at members of the Judicial Research Groups (GPJ) of the Judiciary, Judges, civil servers and researchers. 

The webinar will be opened by Ana Aguiar, assistant Judge to the President of the CNJ and President of the Management Committee for the Unified Numbering and Unified Procedural Tables of the Judiciary. The panel on The Use of the Unified Procedural Tables (TPUs) in the Management of National Goals and in the Definition of the Temporality of Cases will be presented by the head of the Strategy Monitoring and Evaluation Section of the CNJ, Pedro Farage Assunção, and by the Federal Judge in the Judicial Section of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Ingrid Schroder. 

Foundations 

Empirical research applied to judicial policies is relevant when applied by Judges and judicial servers, making academic and scientific knowledge directly applied by those who deal with the provision of justice on a daily basis.

The CNJ edited the Resolution 462/2022, which established the judicial research network and created the Judicial Research Groups (GPJ) in the bodies of the Judiciary.
