The project on Literary Workshops, promoted by the Directorate of People Management (Digep) of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO), in partnership with the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat), held the third and final reading circle to discuss "The Color Purple" from Alice Walker, on June 18th via the Google Meet platform. The activity saw the active participation of twenty-six civil servers and trainees.
The session was mediated by Cristina Vasconcelos, a Psychologist accredited to the Management Group of Multidisciplinary Teams (GGEM), and involved participants from the city of Palmas and the districts of Ananás, Porto Nacional, Taguatinga, Paraíso, Gurupi, Paranã, Araguaína, Taguatinga and Filadélfia. Social worker Janaina Costa pointed out that, in this edition, the project has expanded the number of counties involved.
The reading and discussion of the book enabled a critical reflection on gender and race relations, and on the condition of black women in society. Through this debate, the project aims to sensitize members of the Judiciary to serve this public and to human relations in the service.
Class III
The Project on Literary Workshops is open to civil servers, Judges and trainees from the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins. In its next activity, the project will debate sustainability from the perspective of the indigenous peoples. Registrations for the next class of Literary Workshops open on August 20th. The meetings will be held on September 10th, 17th and 24th. The works selected for discussion are "Ancestral Future" and " Ideas for postponing the end of the world", by Ailton Krenak.
