The agenda at the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO) this Friday (May 3rd) was also focused on health and well-being. Between court cases and administrative activities, civil servers and trainees took time out to talk about health and improving quality of life, as healthy people have a positive impact on all areas of life, including work.

Through the "Health on the Agenda" project, developed by the Social Service of the Health Center (Cesau/TJTO), they took part in the workshop on "Nutrition as a basis for disease prevention", the first in a series of four that will take place until October this year.

Clara Virgínia de Oliveira Resende Campos, who works in the Annex I, took part in the workshop and says that the subjects covered reinforced for her that the basics are still the best option. "Doing the basics of eating well influences both physical and aesthetic issues, as well as health, and helps preventing illnesses in the future," she says. "Sometimes we want to invent too much, when the basics are enough," she added, saying that she will put into practice what the experts reinforced in the workshop. "Bring healthier snacks to work, work on food planning at home, be more attentive when it comes to eating meals, don't leave it to 'garbage day' during the week, don't overdo it, right? But also not to deprive yourself so much," he added.

Eat well

During the workshop, given by Nutritionist Tânia Felix, who specializes in Clinical and Sports Nutrition, and Doctor Flávio Cavalcante (Cesau), who specializes in Nutrology, topics such as the importance of nutrition, the impact of eating habits, the main associated pathologies, lifestyle changes and healthy meal planning were discussed.

"Nutrition impacts and determines what my life will be like, what my genesis will be like, my quality of life, whether or not I'll have diseases. So nutrition is responsible for a large part of our health and development," emphasized the Nutritionist, stressing that if you need to be healthy, you have to organize yourself.  "It all starts with organization," she added, explaining how to identify healthy foods in the supermarket, how to put together a healthy dish and talked about nutritional tables on products and health care in the workplace.

"There has to be a balance in the diet," stressed Doctor Flávio Cavalcante, drawing the attention of the participants to the fact that everyone is responsible for taking care of their health. "It's the individual who has to take care of their health."

Health on the agenda

During the opening of the event, the head of Cesau, Elaine Ferreira, spoke about the importance of the project, pointing out that health is not just the absence of disease, "it is physical, mental and social well-being," she said, stressing that in order to be in good health, to be able to work with productivity and quality, it is important to take care of yourself. "These moments are worthwhile. Make the most of every minute of this information and pass it on."

Ana Paula Prado Peixoto Silva, the social worker and manager of the project, emphasized that Health on the agenda brings together reflections on health issues and took the opportunity to invite civil servers to take part in the next workshops.

According to the schedule, the second workshop will take place on June 21st, with the theme: "The relationship between ergonomics and orthopedics and the benefits of ergonomics in the workplace". The event will be attended by physiotherapists from the Health Center of the TJTO, Hozana Lemos and Sandra Carvalho.

The third workshop will discuss the theme: "Heart health and quality of life", and it will be held on October 18th. The fourth, with the theme: "Care of Men, prejudice versus information", is scheduled to take place on November 8th.

Neuroscience for Creativity and Performance

Also during the event, held at the Inovassol premises of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO), the book "Coherence - Neuroscience for Creativity and Performance" was launched, written by Professor Solange Mata Machado.

The book unites science with the organizational world, bringing recent scientific knowledge to restore and maximize cognitive capacity. The executive world has brought stress, anxiety and the inability to create the new. In the book, Solange not only identifies the roots of these challenges, but also offers practical and grounded solutions to restore physical, emotional and mental balance, promoting an environment conducive to creativity and high performance.
