Mental Health At Work Is The Subject Of A Seminar Promoted By The TRT10 In Partnership With The TJTO

"Today, we live in a totally digital world in which people are in a hurry. It's a worrying exhaustion, which is getting worse all the time. Currently, the highest rate of sick leave among judicial workers is related to mental health. And we work for people. That's why we have to take care of ourselves in order to take care of people."

The statement was made by the President of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO), Justice Etelvina Maria Sampaio Felipe, at the opening of the III Seminar on Labor Law and Procedure of the State of Tocantins. The event is organized by the Judicial School of the Regional Labor Court of the 10th Region (EJUD-TRT10) and it will take place this Thursday and Friday, February 29th and March 1st, virtually through the YouTube channel of the school and in person at the Doctor Feliciano Machado Braga auditorium, at the Palace of Justice of the River of the State of Tocantins, in the city of Palmas.

With the participation of health professionals, jurists, professors and law students, the third edition of the seminar has as its theme on "Work-Related Mental Health: Multidisciplinary Perspectives", and it is in partnership with the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins (PJTO) and the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat).

In her speech, Justice Etelvina Maria Sampaio Felipe also highlighted the attention of the TJTO to the health of its members, such as the actions of the Health Center (CESAU) and the Psychosocial Reception and Monitoring Center (NAPsi), which, in addition to providing care, also carries out preventive educational interventions in the courts of the State. 

"In the Judiciary, our most valuable asset is our magistrates, civil servers and employees. And we need to have quality of life in order to work for a justice system that is increasingly demanded for agility in providing services to society," said the President of the TJTO.

The ceremony was also attended by José Ribamar Mendes Júnior, Justice and second Deputy Director of the board of courses of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins, representing the General Director of the Institution, Justice Marco Villas Boas. The magistrate emphasized that Esmat is always willing to support initiatives that multiply knowledge, especially with regard to quality of life and the well-being of society. "We feel honored to be at the side of the Judicial School of the TRT of the 10th Region at this important event, contributing with our structures and technologies," he commented.

The President of the Regional Labor Court of the 10th Region, Justice Alexandre Nery de Oliveira, celebrated the relationship built between the TRT10 and the TJTO. "We truly are brother courts. Over the years there have been countless visits and in all of them there has been a great welcome from the entire court of magistrates and also from the civil servers. It is a great honor for me, at the end of my term at the head of the TRT10, to conclude with a visit to Palmas and Tocantins, at this seminar on a subject that is so necessary for discussion," he added.


Conference

"Work and Mental Health as a Priority" was the title of the opening panel of the event, coordinated by the Assistant Presiding Judge Roniclay Alves de Morais, with the participation of Leonardo Baldaçara, a Psychiatrist and Professor at the Federal University of the State of Tocantins (UFT), and Mirela D'arc de Melo, a Judge at the Regional Labor Court of the 13th Region.

And at the end of the first day of the program, the Assistant Judge to the President of the TJTO, representing Justice Etelvina Maria Sampaio Felipe, received a certificate of participation and a souvenir offered by the Brazilian Bar Association - Tocantins Section, from the vice-president and co-regulator of the Regional Labor Court of the 10th Region, Justice José Ribamar Oliveira Lima Júnior.

Also at the table of honor were: the President of the Regional Labor Court of the 10th Region, Justice Alexandre Nery de Oliveira; the Director of the Judicial School of the Regional Labor Court of the 10th  Region, Justice João Luis Rocha Sampaio; the President of the Association of Magistrates of the Labor Court of the 10th Region, Judge Rossifran Trindade de Souza; the State Counselor of the Brazilian Bar Association - Tocantins Section, Sérgio Skeff Cunha, representing the President of the institution, Gedeon Pitaluga; and the member of the board of the Association of Labor Lawyers of the State of Tocantins and the board of the Brazilian Association of Labor Lawyers, Leonardo Meneses Maciel, representing the President of ATAT, Murilo Braz Vieira.

The III Seminar on Labor Law and Procedure of the State of Tocantins also has the support of the Brazilian Bar Association - Tocantins Section (OAB-TO) and the Association of Labor Lawyers of the State of Tocantins (ATAT).
