Esmat And Copedem Hold Ai Generation Seminar: Cyber And Legal Security For Socio-Economic Development In The City Of São Paulo-SP

Debates on technological advances aligned with social development and the understanding and acceptance of changes in the digital landscape were the topics discussed on the first day of the AI Generation Seminar: cyber and legal security for socio-economic development, promoted by the Permanent College of Directors of State Schools of Magistracy (COPEDEM), in partnership with the School of the Judges of the State of São Paulo (EPM) and the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT). The event is taking place at the EPM in the city of São Paulo-SP and it runs until this Friday (November 24th).

At the opening ceremony, Justice Marco Villas Boas, President of Copedem, recalled the current situation of bringing together and using artificial intelligence tools with ethical and human concepts. "We are living in times of digital transition, generative artificial intelligence and new transitions so that we don't cause technical-scientific obstacles or allow regulation to fall short of what is expected and allow the human being to be subjugated in a global context, in which man has been exposed to various unusual situations with an exponential increase in consumption capacities and the development of tools that practice our thoughts so that there is no misuse of fundamental rights, leaving man in a difficult situation in the face of all this super complex context," he said.

On the occasion, the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins honored the School of the Judges of the State of São Paulo with the Feliciano Machado Braga Medal and the Esmat Medallion, and Copedem with the Antonio Rulli Neto Academic Merit Medal. Upon receiving the honors, Justice José Maria Câmara Júnior, General Director of EPM, thanked the school for the tribute, recalled the events held at the school and the work and memory of the former president of COPEDEM, Justice Antonio Rulli Neto. "I'd say it's a tribute to all the judicial schools in Brazil that play such an important role, especially in current times. It is with great satisfaction that the EPM participates in this valuable event, where knowledge is passed on," he recalled.
