At the opening ceremony, the president of Copedem and general director of Esmat, Judge Marco Villas Boas, recalled the process of discussion with the other directors to promote a strategic planning of judicial schools and also an institutional alignment. The judge recalled the difficulties in implementing distance learning technologies and drew a parallel with the current situation in the face of the pandemic. "Now we have reached a situation that, because of the coronavirus pandemic, has had a complete turnaround. There was resistance to distance learning and new technical technologies for the transmission of knowledge, continuous improvement and refinement; however, we were able to prove that professional education and scientific research are indispensable to improve the mechanisms of justice, and bringing innovations is essential for the training of magistrates and servers of the judiciary," he recalled.

During the Event, magistrates representing the schools of the judiciary throughout the country are discussing the process of updating the mechanisms of knowledge transmission and training of magistrates and servers of the Brazilian judiciary. Having as its theme the Institutional Alignment and Strategic Planning in the Judicial Schools, the morning of the first day counted with the lecture of the doctor professor Luiz Roberto Liza Curi, president of the National Education Council, who explained about the Judicial Schools in the context of the National Education System, remembering the need for readjustments of the academic educational process in Brazil. "Covid left tragic marks, it will leave many more, it will amplify inequalities, but it will also leave important lessons in the sense of reordering the academic space, the space for learning formation," he emphasized.

In the afternoon, Minister Geraldo Og Nicéas Marques Fernandes, general director of the National School for Training and Improvement of Magistrates (ENFAM), emphasized that the dialogue of the institution with the schools of the judiciary is something that needs to be faced in permanent construction and constant development.
