Aiming to raise the discussion, contextualize and present positive factors of late adoption of children and adolescents, the Judicial Administrative Department of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins, in partnership with the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT) will hold next Tuesday (25th), the date on which the National Adoption Day is celebrated, the Webinar "Adoption: ageless love". The project aims to accomplish Goal 3 of the General Internal Affairs of Justice, foreseen in the Management Plan 2021-2023, which aims to stimulate the late adoption of children and adolescents.
Composed of four panels, the opening ceremony will be held by Judge Etelvina Maria Sampaio Felipe, Chief Justice. On the occasion, a decree will also be signed regulating the use of the A.DOT application within the first level of jurisdiction of the state of Tocantins. The event is destined to employees of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins; the Judicial Administrative Department of the State of Tocantins; the State Judiciary Commission for Adoption of the State of Tocantins (CEJA); the Children and Youth Coordination (CIJ); the Strategic Management, Statistics and Projects Coordination (Unified Secretary) and the 1st Instance Judicial Units, with competence for matters related to childhood and youth.
Information from the National Adoption and Fostering System (SNA) shows that currently in Brazil there are 30,951 children and adolescents in 4,792 foster care services. Of this total, 4,951 are ready to be adopted and 33,530 intendings are available for adoption..
