Copedem and other partners hold webinar on the Effects of Tax Reform for the Education and Health Sectors

With the proposal of discussing the changes and consequences of the Tax Reform, which are under discussion in the House of Representatives, taking into account the economic and social impacts in the areas of Health and Education, the Permanent College of Directors of Schools of the Judges (COPEDEM), in partnership with the National School of the Judges (ENM) and the Superior School of the Judges of the State Tocantins (ESMAT) promote on September 10th, starting at 9am, the webinar "Effects of Tax Reform for the Education and Health Sectors". The event will be broadcasted by Copedem's page on the YouTube platform.

Divided into two panels, the first one being The Economic Implications of Tax Reform for Education and Health, the debate will count with the presence of Justice Marco Villas Boas, president of Copedem; minister João Otávio de Noronha, from the Superior Court of Justice (STJ); professor Heleno Torres, from the University of São Paulo; and Mr. Everardo Maciel, vice-president of ABDF and former secretary of the Federal Revenue. The panel will be mediated by magistrate Marcelo Piragibe, Judge at the Court of Justice of Minas Gerais (TJMG) and adviser to Copedem.

The second panel, entitled The Social Implications of Tax Reform for Education and Health, will feature Mrs. Elizabeth Guedes, president of the National Association of Private Universities (ANUP); and Mr. Fabio Cunha, legal and compliance director of DASA, moderated by Judge Maria Erotides Kneip, of the Court of Justice of Mato Grosso (TJMT). The closing, on the other hand, will count on the presence of Judge Caetano Levi, from the Court of Justice of Minas Gerais (TJMG), President-Director of the National School of Judges (ENM), under the coordination of CEO Lourdes Gonçalves, from Memory.
