XIII International Congress on Human Rights discusses environmental vulnerability and the role of the Judiciary in Brazil and the World to minimize social, economic and environmental impacts

The environmental issue and the emergence of a society vulnerable to climate change, as well as the litigation of the Judiciary in Brazil and in the world seeking the resolution of environmental conflicts were the themes of the debates on the fourth day of the XIII International Congress on Human Rights Program. 

The event, organized by the Master's Program in Judicial Provision and Human Rights (PPGPJDH - UFT) and the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT), this year also counts on the partnership with UniCEUB, Permanent College of Directors of State Schools of the Judges (COPEDEM), and PUC-RIO.

The first thematic panel of the morning, with the Climate Litigation in Brazil and in the World theme, presented by professors Dr. Jolene Lin (NUS - SINGAPORE) and Dr. Danielle de Andrade Moreira (PUC-Rio-BRAZIL), had Dr. Angela Issa Haonat (PPGPJDH) as the mediator. 

The Analysis and Perspectives of the Inalienable Fundamental Human Rights of the Person theme was given by the Doctor Professor Jorge Isaac Torres Manrique (UNFV - PERU), under the mediation of the Doctor Professor Tarsis Barreto Oliveira (PPGPJDH). The second theme of the morning, From the Need for Human Rights Education, was given by the Doctor Professor Isabela Moreira do N. Domingos (USP/PUCPR - BRAZIL) and was mediated by the Doctor Professor Patrícia Medina (PPGPJDH). 

With hundreds of participants, the program of the XIII International Congress on Human Rights extends until October 25th. Remember that all the activities take place, during this period, from 9am to 12pm.
