Indigenous peoples' land native rights are debated at the XIII International Congress on Human Rights

The debates about the rights and territoriality of native people and the implementation of interdisciplinary in favor of social development were the themes addressed on the penultimate day of transmission of the XII International Congress on Human Rights.

The Programming on Friday 22nd was attended by Justice Marco Villas Boas, General Director of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT), who mediated two thematic tables. In his speech, the Justice reinforced the importance of holding the XII Congress in times of technological celerity. “it is a great privilege to coordinate the work of this Table, a theme that is so dear, at this moment, because humanity needs lost references with all this web of technological flows, of great speed, of an enormous voracity that puts the human being in a series of difficulties that affects us all”, he affirmed.

In the Programming of the Event, "Indigenous People: Rights, Culture and Jurisdiction" was the theme addressed by professor Gisele Cittadino (PUC-Rio - BRAZIL). The topic "The Case of the Xucuru People at the Inter-American Court of Justice" was presented by professor Liziane Paixão Silva Oliveira (UniCEUB - BRAZIL), and both lectures were mediated by Justice Marco Villas Boas (ESMAT).

The theme Technology and Human Rights: Interdisciplinarity for Social Development had as lecturers Professor Gustavo Paschoal T. de C. Oliveira (ESMAT/UFT - BRAZIL); Professor Marcelo Lisboa Rocha (UFT - BRAZIL); Professor Waldecy Rodrigues (UFT - BRAZIL). The table was mediated by the Doctor Professor Patricia Medina (UFT/ESMAT- BRAZIL).

This Friday morning was exclusively about the five stricto sensu programs being held at the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT), which is concerned with training its teaching staff so that civil servers and magistrates become more qualified every day for an effective judicial provision.

The Programming of the XIII International Congress on Human Rights ends on October 25th, from 9 am to 12 pm.
