Judiciary holds a lecture on moral harassment at work and the implications for the mental health

Continuing the I Week to Combat Harassment and Discrimination in the Judiciary, the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT) in partnership with the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO) will finish the campaign, this Friday (May 27th), at 4pm, with the lecture "Moral harassment at work and the implications for the mental health".

With the proposal of bringing information that enables the understanding of what moral harassment is in the workplace and the identification of these situations, as well as the appropriate measures to ensure the protection of victims and to hold the possible harasser responsible, the activities of the II Panel will be ministered by Dr. José Roberto Montes Heloani, professor at Unicamp (FE/IFCH), with Dr. Wordney Carvalho Camarço, psychiatrist at NAPsi, as mediator.

For this lecture, one thousand five hundred vacancies are being offered, with the target audience being magistrates, public servers, outsourced workers and interns of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins. It will take place in a hybrid format, in person at the Auditorium of the Court of Justice and at a distance via intranet, through the School's Portal and application, and the activities will total a 4 hours class load in EaD modality.

The opening of the training will be attended by the magistrate Manuel de Faria Reis Neto, auxiliary Judge of the Presidency of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (representing Justice João Rigo Guimarães, President of the Court of Justice, and Justice Pedro Nelson de Miranda Coutinho, President of the Permanent Commission for Accessibility and Inclusion (CPAI); Justice Adolfo Amaro Mendes, president of the Commission for the Prevention and Confrontation of Bullying and Sexual Harassment in the Second Degree of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins; and Justice Etelvina Maria Sampaio Felipe, president of the Managing Commission for Gender Equity Policies of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins.

The event aims to provide an understanding of what moral harassment and discrimination are, particularly in the workplace, what the profile of the harasser is and who suffers harassment, how it starts, how to avoid it and confront it, and also to encourage reflection among Judges, civil servers, and employees about the institutional responses given so far to harassment and discrimination in the workplace within the Judiciary in order to create more welcoming work environments.
