Registrations are open for workshop on the Criminal Justice System and Human Rights

As a complement to the XIV International Congress on Human Rights, the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT) will be developing, on October 18th, starting at 2pm, the Workshop Penal System and Human Rights.

With a workload of 3 hours, the training aims to discuss the main challenges for the preservation of human rights in the penal system, as well as the perspectives for the social reintegration of the convicted person in the penitentiary system of the respective countries.

The workshop will be held in person in the classroom of Esmat. Forty vacancies are being made available for public servers, magistrates, interns and employees of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins; students, professors, professionals and members of the Human Rights education field.

The action will be given by the facilitators Tarsis Barreto Oliveira, Paulo Sérgio Gomes Soares, Emine Eylem Aksoy Retornaz, José Ribamar Mendes Júnior, and Ricardo Gagliardi.

XIV International Congress on Human Rights (October 19th – 21st)

Promoted by the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT), since 2012, the XIV International Congress on Human Rights, with “The Protection of Human Rights in War and Pandemic Scenarios” theme, takes place from Wednesday to Friday, from October 19th to 21st, 2022.

With 20 hours, the program is distributed among conferences, panels, workshops and other dynamics. The event is free of charge and it will count with the participation of renowned speakers from Brazil, Hungary, Turkey, Egypt, United States, Mexico, Spain, England, Bolivia and Mozambique.
