ENFAM returns its lives board with the "Control of Conventionality" theme

THE INTER-AMERICAN COURT OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND THE JUDICIAL PACT FOR HUMAN RIGHTS WILL ALSO BE THE SUBJECT OF DEBATE

The National School for Training and Improvement of Magistrates (Enfam) is back with lives on its institutional profile on Instagram at 6 pm on Wednesday (March 23th), for a conversation about “Control of conventionality”.

On that occasion, the general secretary of the School, the federal Judge Cíntia Brunetta, will be with the State prosecutor and scientific coordinator of the Monitoring and Enforcement Unit of Decisions and Deliberations of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (UMF/CNJ) of the State of São Paulo, Flávia Piovesan, and with the doctoral professor and coordinator of the course at School of the Magistrature of the State of São Paulo (EPM), Marcos Zilli.

The live will antecipate what will be the educational action with the same name promoted by Enfam, together with the School of the Magistrature of the State of São Paulo (EPM) and with the National Council of Justice (CNJ), from April 20th to June 2nd, in remote mode.

About the theme

The conventionality control consists in making domestic legislation principles compatible with international human rights instruments. That is, the control of conventionality is a method by which the State, in the light of the pro persona principle and centered on the human rights approach, ensures that the effects of the provisions of the American Convention on Human Rights are not mitigated by the application of laws contrary to its object.

The live is a unique opportunity for more information about the training activity.
