The activities of the course on "Assistance to People with Disabilities and Neurodiversities", promoted by the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) and coordinated by Justice Angela Issa Haonat, president of the Permanent Commission on Accessibility and Inclusion (CPAI), began this week. The training is being offered in two classes, focusing on receptionists, guards, military police and other collaborators of the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins who work on the front line of service to the public.
On Wednesday (October 8th), the opening web class of Class I was held, with mediation by Professor Anderson Carvalho da Silva. In his opening speech, the professor highlighted the performance of the course coordinator, recalling her trajectory with the deaf community in the academic environment:
“The justice was one of the first at the Federal University of the state of Tocantins to talk with deaf people about human rights, taking questions directly with them (...). Even if I work in education, they [deaf people] also need justice, access to Justice - the deaf, the autistic, the wheelchair person”.
Class I.
