Tomorrow (July 17th) marks the end of the Class 11 of the course on Financial Education for Consumers – My Accounts Up to Date at Cejusc, with a reaction assessment. With a class load of 20 hours, the training was aimed at consumers in situations of over-indebtedness who were assisted in a pre-trial manner by the Judicial Centers for Conflict Resolution and Citizenship (Cejuscs) and by judicial units of the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins.

The course aimed to provide consumers/jurisdictional parties with financial education and psychosocial guidance on consumption and ways of dealing with over-indebtedness, in order to assist in the renegotiation of debts of consumers in situations of over-indebtedness, as established by the Law No. 14,181, of July 1st, 2021, which amended the Consumer Protection Code (Law No. 8,078, of 1990), especially as provided for in the Article 104-A of the mentioned Law, regarding the collective debt renegotiation process.

Held in a hybrid format, the program consisted of four thematic modules: Financial Education, Psychology and Consumer Behavior, Consumer Protection and Defense, and Entrepreneurship. The classes were supported by expository content, video lessons, and study materials made available in the Virtual Learning Environment of Esmat.
