
From June 23rd to 25th, the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT) will hold the course on “Preventing and confronting harassment and discrimination in the workplace”. The aim of the training is to sensitize and train leaders and other participants in preventing harassment in the workplace and facing the challenges of mental health in everyday life, based on grounded knowledge and practices.
With a 9-hour class load and taught by Professor Rosane Teresinha Carvalho Porto, PhD in Law from the University of the city of Santa Cruz do Sul (UNISC/RS), in distance learning mode, the course will be held through the GOOGLE MEET Platform. The training, coordinated by Justice Ângela Issa Haonat, offers 20 places for judges and civil servers from the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins and civil servers from other partner bodies.

During the activities, topics such as violence against women, moral and sexual harassment in organizations, the challenges of access to justice for women in vulnerable situations, as well as public policies and the role of the Judiciary in combating gender inequality will be discussed.
The course will also cover the Protocols for Judgment with a Gender Perspective and with a Racial Perspective, highlighting their application as legal and institutional tools in different contexts.
