
The Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) started on Monday (June 2nd), the second class of the course on Criminal Sentence in Practice, with the aim of training assessors and civil servers of the Judiciary for the preparation and analysis of criminal sentences, addressing essential theoretical aspects and their practical application.
Judge Wellington Magalhães, coordinator of the training, highlighted the importance of it.
“This course represents the effort of Esmat to contribute with quality and excellence of the judged ones, especially in such a sensitive area as the Criminal Law", he said.
The first day of activities, taught by facilitator Yuri Anderson Pereira Jurubeba, had as its theme the General Elements of the Criminal Sentence, addressing topics such as the prescription of punitive claim, delitiva materiality, forms of demonstration, correlation between criminal sentence and report or complaint, in addition to the application of penalty and dosimetry.
With a total workload of 16 hours-class, the course runs until June 5th and includes, in addition to the theoretical analysis, the study of practical cases related to property crimes, sexual, drug trafficking, domestic violence and the main challenges in applying the jurisprudence of superior courts.
