Esmat Starts Course On Environmental Law And Agrarian Contracts: Sustainability And Legal Practice

The course on “Environmental Law and Agrarian Contracts: Sustainability and Legal Practice”, promoted by the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat), aimed at magistrates and civil servers of the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins and legal professionals.

During the opening ceremony, Justice Ângela Issa Haonat, deputy director of Esmat, explained that the course arose from the need to seek more knowledge in the environmental area associated with law. 

“This information is important for magistrates and civil servers when they are dealing with environmental demands, which are constantly being registered in their offices,” she said.

About the course

Taught by Professors Marília Longo and Antonio Carmelo Zanette, with the assistance of the civil server of the TJTO Hudson Andrade, the course aims to train professionals to understand and apply environmental and agrarian legislation, with a focus on sustainability and conflict resolution. The initiative seeks to promote more efficient and interdisciplinary work in the agricultural and land sector, preparing professionals for the legal and practical challenges of agribusiness.
