The course on “Theory and Practice of Tax Enforcement”, aimed at magistrates, first instance legal advisors and civil servers of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins, had its first meeting at the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) on Thursday (August 15th). The 12-hour course is divided into three modules and it runs until August 16th.
The aim of the course is to perfect and improve the staff of the registry office and the office of the courts with jurisdiction over tax enforcement in the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins in the chronological order of Tax Enforcement and in the main jurisprudential understandings of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) and the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO) relating to the Law No. 6,830 of 1980. The opening of the training was attended by the course coordinator, Judge Arióstenis Guimarães Vieira.
The first module was entitled on “Procedural Movements in the Eproc System” and it was taught by professor and server of the Internal Affairs Renato Alves Gomes, and professor Fernanda Pontes Alcântara Bonvini, also a server of the Internal Affairs. “We've noticed a growing need for an update on tax enforcement. Whenever we have a unit with this competence in the district, some difficulties are encountered. Based on this, we prepared the course with a technical introductory part and a more legal part with a specialized teacher,” said Professor Renato.
In the afternoon, the activities were given by Professor Leonardo Vieira de Sousa, who spoke about “Tax Enforcement Procedures”.
