Esmat Successfully Concludes Organic Security Course

The Organic Security course, promoted by the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT), came to an end this Friday (July 7th), leaving a positive balance of learning. The action brought together employees of the Judiciary, the Center for Intelligence and Institutional Security (NIS) and the Military Advisory (ASMIL), in addition to the participation of representatives of partner agencies from different regions of Brazil, such as Amazonas, Maranhão and Paraná.

Lieutenant Colonel Presley Cruz Nunes, head of the Counterintelligence Division (DCINT/NIS), expressed his satisfaction with the experience: "My experience with the Organic Security course was very positive. It was a time when we were able to foster the culture of organic security among the Judiciary, including those from the most distant counties, such as Araguatins and Dianópolis, who were present in our course. In addition, members of other judicial branches of the State came to learn a little more about organic security with us. From now on, we estimate that these people will return to their workplace and can implement measures that contribute to organic security", he said.

One of the students of the course, Paulo Emilio Vieira de Melo, lieutenant colonel of the Military Police and deputy advisor of Institutional Security of the State Prosecution Office of the State of Amazonas, also praised the course: "Organic security is part of the daily routine of the institutions. It is a prerequisite for the autonomous exercise of the judicial action. The 1st Organic Security course, promoted by Esmat, meets our expectations, which were exceeded, considering the high level of the instruction and coordination team. Without fear, we can say that all participants went through the process of transformation during the activity. We received a range of teachings that added value to the expected educational process. The student at the beginning of the course is not the same at the end", he commented.

Ionara Cardoso Marques Nascimento, secretary of the District Court of Dianópolis, also shared her impressions: "Completing the organic security course is a joy and, at the same time, a huge responsibility, as we are now agents with specific knowledge. Throughout the course, it was possible to realize how much we need to advance to have effective security in our institution. Taking care of our environment safely requires leaving the 'comfort zone', which confronts culture, a factor that greatly influences the decision-making. The TJTO, through the Counterintelligence Division (DCINT) and the Institutional Intelligence and Security Center (NIS), is to be congratulated for being concerned with bringing such high-level knowledge to all of us. I leave here with the conviction that we have a mission to fulfill in the long run," she said.

The action, coordinated by Justice Pedro Nelson de Miranda Coutinho, had as its main objective to train the civil servers who work or exercise some charge related to the Institutional Security area of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins, as well as partner agencies.
