Esmat promotes a live meeting as an activity of the Sign Language Course

The School of Judges of Tocantins (ESMAT) held, that Thursday and Friday (February 20th and 21th), the first group live meeting of the Brazilian Sign Language Basic Course (SIGN LANGUAGE). Held in distance learning modality, the course had as a target public: servers and magistrates from the Judiciary Branch of Tocantins, trainees and collaborators with an office of the Court and in the countryside District.

Directed by instructors Éllen Soares de Loiola and Mônica Rocha, the live meeting was held as the final activity of the course, for consolidating the learning by activities accomplishment and practical exercises.

For Leila França dos Anjos, a Justice Court server, the meeting is an extreme importance differential for the servers, once the “course enables an approach improvement and assistance of deaf people inside and outside the work place”, she has punctuated.

Another student, Luiz Augusto Rezende, the trainee from the Forum of the 1st Treasury Court, considers important that the Court has Sign Language qualified servers, not only because of the assistance question, but also for life. “Over time we can and will meet people that have hearing impairment, consequently, because they do not have a previous knowledge, the course offers the opportunity of know them and also help them”, he has added.
